LILAS BLANO After studying at the École des Beaux-Arts in Reims, she briefly worked in advertising and animated film in London, Montpellier, and Luxembourg before setting up her studio in Reims to fully dedicate herself to painting. Blano is recognized for her contemporary figurative style, capturing a playful and rebellious femininity. Her vibrant works feature women in exuberant colors and shapes reminiscent of childhood cut-outs. She describes her creative process as follows: "Mistakes and changes of direction are always welcome as they bring richness, spontaneity, and life". The viewer's eye is captivated by this extravagant grammar without apparent rules. Releasing their essence through a carved outline, her compositions, enriched with geometric and floral patterns, reveal her subjects in oil paint. Today, she is evolving towards a new artistic expression, exploring synthetic and geometric rhythms, and new color harmonies, creating modern symphonies where her ladies integrate into deconstructed environments, always imbued with light and femininity. After traversing several distinct artistic periods, Lilas Blano has exhibited her works in galleries in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, the United States, and Luxembourg, attracting an ever-growing number of admirers of her instinctive, unique, and vibrant art. In May 2022, Womankind, an international art magazine, featured an article/interview allowing readers to enter her artistic universe.
