Hello, my name is Lena. I am a self-taught artist from Ukraine, currently living in Toronto.

Painting is a form of meditation for me — a way to process emotions, thoughts, and experiences. When I paint, I enter a flow state: colors lead the way, and I follow. It feels like diving into cold water on a sweltering day — sudden, refreshing, and deeply alive.

I don’t plan my compositions in advance. I paint intuitively, letting my body move freely, almost like dancing with the canvas. Each brushstroke reflects a moment of honesty, impulse, or emotion. Bright colors inspire me to create — they awaken energy and movement within.

My work is a visual diary of feeling, rhythm, and instinct.
