Surrendering To What Is Painting

I live and work on the beautiful North Coast of NSW, Australia and work in a variety of media with a current focus on painting, sculpture and ceramics. I have a passion for many forms of visual, performing, written and practical arts which all tend to inform my practice during the process of creating although are not necessarily visible in the final work. I feel a deep connection to nature and am in a constant state of wonder at the beauty and perfection that exists amongst the ever-changing states of chaos and order. I am fascinated by the dichotomy of fragility and strength that exists within all life and the constant striving for balance and harmony within nature. This inevitably finds it’s way into my work. I approach my work as a form of meditation and hope to inspire a moment of stillness and contemplation within the viewer.
