Deividas Sinkevicius

I was born in Lithuania, in the city of Druskininkai. I am a self-taught artist.

My interest in art began as a form of protest. As a teenager, I was told that my drawings were useless — and that moment became the starting point of my creative path. What began as resistance gradually turned into a way of understanding the world and expressing inner states.

In my work, I explore the coexistence of seemingly incompatible elements: tradition and contemporary life, reality and imagination, calmness and tension. I am drawn to moments where these opposites meet and form a quiet, unexpected harmony.

My practice includes painting, graphics, and mixed techniques, often moving between figurative, symbolic, and geometric approaches.

I have held 30 solo exhibitions and participated in 12 group exhibitions. In 2022, I was granted official artist status by the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania.
