Kim Johnson

I am a Las Vegas native that walks with one foot in the city and one foot in the surrounding desert landscape making connections and finding understanding through visual language.

My work has been described as an ongoing experiment between the subconscious and the inherited environment it operates within. I create to make sense of the world I live in and to communicate an intense appreciation for it.

I received a Bachelor of fine Arts degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with additional study in biology and natural sciences. I currently work as a professional artist and co founding director of a non profit arts organization, Guerrilla Artz foundation, in Las Vegas. I am hopeful to making a better world for others and a better understanding of myself in it through the arts by devoting my life to this mission along side my studio work.
