Atinuke Osibogun-Adeleke, based in Frisco, Texas, is an interdisciplinary artist whose creative process serves as a means to confront and resolve internal conflicts. Inspired by the interplay between past and present, traditional cultural customs, and modern processes, she navigates the complexities of her Nigerian and Colonial/Western heritage.
In her artistic practice, Atinuke pays tribute to her Yoruba roots while actively redefining and exploring the hybridity born from cross-cultural influences prevalent in contemporary society. Her work integrates a diverse array of objects and materials, including jewelry, sculpture, wood, metal, and fiber, reflecting the multicultural landscape of her existence and the dynamic interrelationship between Nigeria and the West.
