I create bold, expressive large-scale abstract oil paintings that explore color, movement, line, form, and space. Many of my works are created across two canvases, joined as one unified composition. This lifelong passion is reflected in every oil painting I create.
My paintings develop intuitively through thousands of brushstrokes and countless layers of oil paint. Each original work evolves over months, blending gestural brushwork with vibrant color, shape, texture, and dynamic energy.
Many of my paintings are diptychs—two canvases painted as a single work. This approach allows me to explore boundaries, edges, space, and what lies beyond them.
My paintings are bold and introspective, combining line, form, color, and texture to create immersive, one-of-a-kind works of art.
I never create copies or limited editions. Every painting is an entirely original work, reflecting a personal and evolving artistic vision.
As Laurie often says:
“I cannot remember a time when I didn’t interpret the world through a paintbrush and tubes of oil paint.”
