Rebecca Mccarthy

From a young age, I have been passionate about art and design, which led me to pursue studies at Brooklands College (School of Art & Design), followed by the University of Portsmouth, where I specialized in Textiles for Fashion with Business Studies, apparel and textiles. I am continuously committed to exploring new techniques, and drawing inspiration from renowned artists to enhance my skills and create art that brings joy and beauty to the world.

As a multidisciplinary artist, I embrace an eclectic approach that transcends traditional boundaries, producing work that resonates today and for future generations.

I'm influenced by many things, the Golden Age of Hollywood, high-octane glamour, Herb Ritts, Klimt, Punk, 1960s... The list is endless.
My process for creating "Fashion Art" will always begin with an idea. From there, I will go through many fashion magazines searching for the right image. When I find the right one I will instantly have an idea what it is that I want to achieve in my mind's eye. I will always begin by doing a preliminary drawing, and take it from there.
