Nude wax ladies

Wax are these colorful fabrics used by african women. The history of this fabric brings people closer : it represents Africa but was imported from Indonesia by the Dutch around 1830. Today, the most popular are designed and manufactured in Holland. But they take their true value when they arrive on African soil and when women attribute them a name, a meaning. Women communicate with the loincloth they choose : "I run faster than my rival", "My husband is capable of" ... or pay tribute to Mandela . Generating messages with colors and shapes, What more can ask a painter? In this collection, I create my own fabrics to pass along personal messages ("I'm fed up") or universal ones ("Soon, there’ll be a shortage of water").
