I believe every landscape remembers something.
The sea remembers the wind. Forests remember silence. Mountains remember the passing seasons. Even the smallest wildflower carries the memory of light.
I am Kateryna Oliinyk, a Ukrainian independent contemporary artist working primarily in oil. My paintings are inspired by coastlines, forests, botanical gardens, quiet cabins, distant mountains, and the peaceful places that invite us to slow down and simply be.
I paint with rich texture and expressive brushstrokes, searching not for photographic accuracy but for emotion. Each painting is an impression of a place - a memory rather than a map.
Many of my works are small in scale, inviting the viewer to step closer. I love the idea that a tiny painting can hold the feeling of an endless ocean, a quiet forest, or an entire landscape.
Every collection begins with a place that has captured my imagination. From wild coastlines and mountain trails to botanical gardens and hidden cottages, I hope each painting offers a small moment of calm, wonder, and connection with nature.
My art is an invitation to breathe a little more slowly, wander a little farther, and remember how beautiful the natural world can be.
