Denise Felber

Born in 1963 in Switzerland (Canton of Bern) / journalistic work for Swiss television, among others / further training as an art lecturer and cultural mediator / subject expert for educational media.
since i can remember, designing is my favorite thing: looking at pictures (e.g. in my parents' moon books from the museums of the world)... drawing, doodling, painting (for example on the paper pattern sheets from my father's office)... in kindergarten i designed my first exhibitions (with prices) on the nursery door... i would have liked to become a drawing teacher, but i failed the exam at the first attempt and took other professional paths... i have always remained true to design...
what interests me: telling stories with newspaper pictures, i collect e.g. newspaper pictures that inspire me, detach them from their context of use and try, in different techniques, to answer painterly... produce own colors, brushes, try them out...

further education modules at the school for art&design, berne (among others scientific drawing / photography / figure, nude / composition / color&form / acrylic&oil painting / manual printing techniques / graphic programs, webpublishing etc.) / regular study visits and further artistic training with artists in germany and abroad (i. hildur / c. kochs / e. lindenbaur / j. linssen / a. zürcher a.o.)
