Peter Jacob Maltz is an artist, educator, and writer whose work spans drawing, relief sculpture, artist books, printmaking, and video. He hold and MFA from the Royal College of Art in London.
For more than twenty years, Maltz has explored the relationship between landscape, memory, narrative, and the act of walking. His practice draws on observation, travel, and the accumulation of visual experiences, transforming them into layered works that move between image, object, and story. Through drawing, casting, printing, and book-making, he investigates how places become carriers of meaning and how visual language can connect personal experience with broader cultural narratives.
Maltz has exhibited extensively and is the recipient of the Minister of Culture Prize and the Alima Rita Prize for Printmaking. His work is included in major public and private collections, including the Israel Museum, Jerusalem.
Alongside his studio practice, he has taught and led visual arts programs for many years, while continuing to develop a body of work that examines perception, time, and the ways in which we navigate the world through images.
