I want to get to know you and tell you about myself. My name is Tanya Arzhanova. I was born in Vitebsk, Belarus. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been drawing a lot. When I was 10, I was studying batik. I went to school with an artistic orientation. After high school, I went to college as a fashion designer. And then my major took over, and apart from sketches, I didn’t paint much. I created my own brand of clothes. Nowadays I work as a fashion designer. My clothing brand Tanya Arzhanova there is from 2010. I really like pastel and bright colours. From 2021 I started painting. I find myself inspired by bright fabrics. Accessories and of course women. My painting was probably influenced by my work in the fashion industry. I am very close to subject of the portrait. I like gold and silver colours. I often use sweat in my works. I prefer mixed technologies. I can feel the acrylic plastic perfectly. In future I want to show you my sprints. I am inspired by street art, prints. I adore Africans with dark skin and others. I’m very fond of painting portraits and I’m very fond of abstraction. I’d like to introduce to my works at the Saatchiart Gallery.
