Ketaki Pimpalkhare

Ketaki completed her undergraduate degree in fine art from the Directorate of Art, Bombay's G.D. Art program. During her undergraduate degree she studied photography from Fergusson College, Pune. She moved to the UK for a brief period and studied Creative Writing from SouthShields. She then moved back to India and got a Masters in Fine Arts from S.N.D.T. Women's University, Pune and worked in the field of advertising and event management. She started painting when she got pregnant and eventually started showing her work in art galleries from the year 1999 in Pune, Mumbai and internationally. She's married to a restauranteer and has a seven year old son.
She has been experimenting in different mediums like oils, acrylics, charcoal and has recently worked with ceramic, tar and video art. New media excites her and land art is something she would explore in the future. Her work has always been a direct representation of her emotional state of mind. It is a spiritual journey which she has embarked upon and according to her, art is her path. It is her way and she sees it as a means to an end.
Currently she's living and working in Pune.
