In the past, In Korea, everyone makes a wish by looking at the full moon in the new year. This is because they wished for a good harvest and peace in the village and believed to prevent all diseases and bad luck. This peaceful image of various colors is a picture that gives strength and comfort.

[Emotive Structurism = Emotion + Structure + -ism], I don’t believe emotion resolves through immediate outburst. It needs time and environment to settle; I translate that process into order—through color, form, and framing. In this way, the calmly structured picture offers viewers a place of quiet, where their own feelings can gather, settle, and stay. Constitutive Elements • Emotion: inner feeling, memory, dream, unconscious affect (dripping, chromatic density, aqueous flow) • Structurism: organizing emotion via form, plane, and composition (plane division, balance, spatial order, formal clarity) • Painting: the site where emotion and structure meet (coexistence of abstraction and figuration) Series & Relations “Querencia” traces emotion settling into inner order, while the still-life/figurative series (Modern Dalbit/Moonlight, Modern Times, Beyond) show emotion emerging through external form and order. Together they articulate emotion–structure / inner–outer / abstraction–figuration to form a unified pictorial world. Artist Statement My painting translates emotion into structure, and lets structure cradle emotion in return. Color, form, line, and plane serve as the language of that order—the site of visual thought where emotion transforms into structure.
