I had never related previously to African art, but I found myself experiencing emotions which such art seemed to embody, so all of a sudden it meant something to me. I started to collect masks, and three of these are shown. I use colour expressively.

I sold my first artwork age five and have been doing creative things most of my life, writing, painting, organising events. I paint what is important to me and this is emotionally and instinctively driven. I want to make direct images that people can relate to.
