Serj Sabet

Serj Sabet is a British visual artist whose work explores the intricate interplay between memory, emotion, and place. He studied Fine Art at the University of Sunderland from 2003 to 2006, graduating with First-Class Honours. His Degree Show in 2006 marked the beginning of a practice that continues to investigate the human experience through painting and drawing. That same year, he was awarded the Northern Echo Prize for Fine Art.
Serj’s practice combines traditional studio techniques with contemporary materials and processes, reflecting on connection, transformation, and the dialogue between human experience and the world around us. Deeply informed by his travels and the intersections of natural environments, architecture, and cultural identity, his work transforms personal and collective memory into visual narratives that resonate with universal themes.
