Gilbert Lessard

I was born in Montréal, Québec, Canada in 1954. I started painting at a very young age. In the early 1960’s I represented my school at the National Exhibition in Toronto and place first place 3 times. Much more recently, I joined the Artiistes Hudson Artiists Association and have been a regular participent in our semi-annual art exhibition. I sell at every show with my best being 7 out of 9 paintings sold. My paintings have been featured 4 times in the local newspapers. There are also a few blurbs on me and my work at .
I love to paint landscapes that evoke tranquility and serenity that have onlookers wishing they were at the scene that the painting is about. I also paint automotive subjects, especially vintage cars, motorcycles and trains. I am particularly proficient at painting reflective surfaces such as chrome. The Town of Hudson recently mandated me to paint the local train station with an incomeing steam engine coming in. A banner depicting this painted is now hung in front of the town hall. Recently art lovers from Australia, UK, Italy, California, Maine, New York And Canada have added Gilbert Lessard original artworks to their collections.
