Oil painting done with mixed media on wooden board. It represents what in Spain could be understood as a "bodegón", in which you can probably distinguish a jug and a flower.

He was born in Badajoz (Spain) in 1927. He studied at the San Fernando School of Fine Arts in Madrid, especially with the muralist Ramón Stolz, and at the National School of Graphic Arts, where he would later be a professor of Artistic Drawing. Pensioned in Italy during the years 1955 and 1957, he lived in Paris in 1960 after obtaining the prize from the Rodríguez-Acosta Foundation. He has been a National Fine Arts medalist and twice winner of the Extremadura Biennial. In 1955 the March Foundation awarded him the Fine Arts prize (See the attached file “Prizes received). His works are in several museums, including the Contemporary Art Museum of Madrid and the MUBA (Museum of Fine Arts of Badajoz). As an easel painter he has exhibited numerous times in Spain and Italy, in addition to appearing in the Spanish Pavilion at the VII Alexandria Biennial in 1968 (See the attached file “Individual Exhibitions”). Likewise, his work as a muralist and author of altarpieces stands out, and his work can be seen in several churches in Extremadura, and other locations. He taught there as a full professor of Drawing at the School of Graphic Arts in Madrid, an activity that he shared as a set designer for TVE and theater. In 1997 he was appointed Academician of the Royal Academy of Arts and Letters of Extremadura, taking possession of his membership at a public reception in October 2004. His welcome speech was on the topic “Italian Fresquistas and Muralists: Travel Notes ”. The plastic work of Pérez Muñoz encompasses furniture painting, murals and engravings, and except in the landscapes in which he plays with very wide distances, the rest seems to conform, in general terms, to the muralist iconography.
