Alena Mitchenko (AMi_ko) is a contemporary artist, born in the Far East of Russia in Khabarovsk city.
She grew up in a family of creative people and artists, and was introduced to art from early years.
For the artist, from childhood, touch was the main way of understanding the world.
Ami_ko says that the sense of touch is the first sense of evolution that arises during pregnancy, and the last one that fades away at the end of life, that it is the most active and dual sense in the world and always gives us a feedback - you understand that you are alive!
By creating a form with the help of textures, volumetric materials, holes and cuts, the artist invites viewers to include all their sensory senses and experience the art with their whole body.
Her method is a game where you are again a child researcher, you can ask questions, look for answers, study and discover yourself again and again.
Alena is a kinesthetic artist who creates contemporary painting in mixed media using the method of visual tangibility.

Ami_ko graduated from the University of Humanitarian sciences, awarded with a bachelor's degree in graphic design in Khabarovsk
She also earned a degree in gallery management and art criticism in St. Petersburg University of Advanced Studies
Studied at art workshops "Art Wednesday" in Moscow.
