Born 1964 Hamilton, New ZealandAndrew currently lives and maintains a full-time studio in Taupoa, New ZealandOver the past few years, I have become very interested in the process of autopoiesis as an intellectual concept of a living system of painting which can be translated into the material form of a painting though a process of faktura.The paintings are organically realised but analytically conceived. The organic is a progression of thought and defines the space, which is embedded within the independent logic of the painting.
