Edward Lockmar

Been an artist for most of my life.
Drawing when I was 5, and painting when I was 10 years old.
Been working in advertising, as an Art Director/Web Designer for the last 30 years.
While in Florida in the '80's I painted many murals and backdrops for large and small companies such as Delta Airlines and Ralph Lauren in Palm Beach. Also did illustrations for a stained glass window company.
Have displayed my paintings in countless art and wine festivals, galleries and coffee shops, where I was able to sell. Some of my illustrations have been published in books and manuals.
My love of nature and the outdoors has inspired me to paint many scenes such as waterfalls, mountains and sunsets. I admire how nature can put together color and light to create incredible images of itself with contrasting and complimentary colors.
I like to paint old buildings and historic towns since I have a love of history and old world places with rustic beauty and charm.

Back in 1981, I attended the Maryland institute College of Art as an illustration major for 2 years. Graduated in 1985 from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida with a degree in Advertising design.
