Rachel Schneider

aka RaShell , was born in Riga, Latvia but have lived since 1977 in Rome, Paris, Boston, New York and lately in Jamaica WI where she creates her artworks . It is inspired by the nature, sunshine, sea breeze, music, culture and beautiful people of Jamaica.
She is using shells found in Jamaica in their most natural shape and color.

I have a degree in Computer science with a minor in Visual art.
I have always been passionate about Roman mosaics and am using tiny shells Found in Jamaica to create my original images the same way the Romans were using small pieces of stone or tesserae. My work can be found in private collections in New York, The Hamptons, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Virginia, Rome, Paris, Bangkok, Tel Aviv,
They have been exhibited in galeries in Jamaica, Newport, Rhode Island, Naples,Florida, The Hamptons, Cape Cod and Monté Carlo
