I’m Mercedes. I was born in northern Spain and grew up in the UK, where I attended school in Harrow. I’m fluent in two languages. At the age of 15, my family chose to move back to Spain, where I pursued my studies in graphic design and art in Malaga. Currently, I reside in Malaga, Southern Spain, with my husband, son, and our cat.

I’ve been immersed in sketching and doodling for as long as I can remember, filling sketchbooks and even napkins with my creations. Those early sketches have transformed into refined illustrations, which I now showcase and sell as prints globally via my website. I live with my family in Malaga, Southern Spain, where I work as a freelance illustrator and a Live Wedding Illustrator. Additionally, I have the privilege of being a licensing artist for Wild Apple Graphics Ltd in the USA. The breathtaking beauty of my environment fuels my creativity, and I often use watercolour and ink, followed by digital editing. For larger pieces, I paint on canvas with acrylics in a watercolour style, experimenting with a range of mediums to achieve a seamless, soft application.

I stretch most of my canvases by hand, using natural linen for its organic texture, which adds a personal touch to each piece and fosters an intimate relationship with the canvas as I prepare it for a new creation.

I collaborate with interior decorators to ensure my art harmonizes beautifully with their designs.
