David Kemp

Hi I'm David Kemp, I'm new to Saatchiart in 2017. I'm also known by the name, 'The Stranded Traveller', which I use for my music/song writing.

I'm based in the UK and I returned to creating art after life led me down a very different path for a while. I've found that abstract seems to be my main thing, however I'm currently delving into impressionism so should have some images to show from that soon. I like to go with how I feel with regards to creativity.

I studied art to high school level. The remainder is self taught. I was fortunate to have some periods where I could focus on art and I took myself through an education experimenting with various styles and mediums. I think this education will always be ongoing.

I curated my own first exhibition in 2012. This was entitled, 'Which Way's Up?' and featured multiple abstract images the orientation of which were undefined. I was extremely pleased to have worked towards and achieved putting on my own exhibition. I'm currently working towards a new exhibition which will feature more of my work in oils and acrylics.
