Donald Drake

Born 1954 in Weisbaden, GermanyI have been an artist for over 30 years. I have been a portrait painter for most of my art career. I have painted business leaders such as the posthumus portrait of L.L. Bean for the L.L. Bean Company in Freeport, Maine, Marvin Sadik, the former director of the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. and the late philanthropist Elizabeth Noyce for her private collection. I have painted multitudes of children portraits throughout the years. I am now painting landscapes in oils and pastels and exhibiting my work in the Northeast of the USA.

I hold a Master of Fine Arts from the American University in Washington, DC, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Boston University
