Michael Demeglio

Deaf painter Michael DeMeglio lives and breathes art in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. A native from Michigan, his childhood deafness occured at two. Losing his hearing, he learned to develop a keen eye for color. Michael's self taught expressionist style paintings and color harmonies reflect his daily living emotions and exposures between the Deaf and Hearing world..

Art flourishes and so does his mind. Michael paints feverishly onto heavyweight paper or canvas using acrylics/oil, chalk and or oil pastel. His creations are humorous yet romantic and may come from a simple word or series of life events.

His deep profound passion to love and seek out the feelings mysteriously mused by love; is often found in his paintings and Illustrations.

His 14 Days in Feburary was a challenge he created for himself and is the first to take on this. He makes a goal to paint/illustrate the Love and turmoil that humans induldge during the 14 days of February.

Michael's two young beautiful children are his utmost passion and inspiration to the colors and feelings he evokes onto canvas.
