I graduated from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1973 where I studied black and white photography. A few of the photographers that amazed me then and now are Edward and Brett Weston, Imogen Cunningham, Ralph Gibson and Henri Cartier-Bresson. I also enjoy the paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe and Vincent von Gogh.
I really didn't like the idea of digital photography. Working in a darkroom was very gratifying. In the mid 90's I was given a Pentax digital 35mm camera by a friend. Some of the photographs that you are viewing here have been taken with this camera. Most of my most recent work have been taken by various iPhones. I have never used Photoshop, Aperture or Lightroom etc. But I do use a few free or inexpensive applications such as Pixler, Camera Bag and Glaze, most of the work is done using a MacBook Pro and the Photos App. I go back and forth between computer and iPhone many times on each photograph.
So I've been using a camera for about fifty years. I'll keep wording at it, changing ideas and looking for new ways of doing my art. I hope you enjoy viewing my work.
Thank you and be blessed
