Jalid Melloul

I was born in 1978 in Valencia, Spain.

Colour and Geometry are the main items in my paintings. I move from precission to expression depending on times, but both are always present on my canvas.

Besides painting, I work as an Art teacher in Secondary Education and in the Master Degree in Teacher Training.

Degree in Fine Arts from the Faculty of San Carlos, Universitat Politècnica de València.

Training courses on papermaking, silkscreening, graphic design, animation, ITC, didactics, research, management in education...

2020. Shortlisted in the XXXV Puçol Painting Prize.
2019.The National Painting Awards "Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Carlos. Two decades of patronage". City Museum of Valencia.
2018. Shortlisted in the 18th Art Contest Manolo Valdés, in Altura.
I've made some exhibitions with colleagues and took part in a lot of art contests.
I've earned some prizes and mentions: Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Carlos, Caja Rural de Torrent, Tot Art, Ximèn d'Urrea, Fundación Mainel, Amics del pintor Cristòfor Aguado...
