Born in Friedrichshafen, south Germany's origin of the Zeppelin, Michael Lieb works on imaginary architectural landscapes.Trained as an architect he begins with a found narrative, a myth of origin of a place or a spontaneous reference to reconstruct it into a cityscape fiction. His paintings are spontaneous mental spatial constructions leading into series like "Invisible Cities" City-Morphs", "Metamorphs", "Fold-Scapes".
In his art he processes the creative improvisation technique of jazz music and architecture into painting.
Michael Lieb, who lives and works in Berlin has participated in numerous group and solo shows.
