Piotr Sochacki

Born in Warsaw, Poland.
I have been raised in a family with artistic traditions. My father Emil Sochacki was a fine art painter, as well as my younger brother Pawel. I have completed my studies at the Warsaw Academy of Arts, Department of Painting, and obtained a diploma with distinction from the studio of Professor R.Ziemski in 1985. I find myself most comfortable, confident and natural within modern and experimental abstract style of painting, typically using oil on canvas. However, I have also produced a lot of traditional work like for example some fine series of seasonal pastels. Many of my pieces are now in private collections in the UK, Norway, Holland, Portugal, Poland and the USA. Glaxo Wellcome has acquired a number of my works in the past.
