Amponsah is a Ghanaian-born artist living in the UK, known for his bold, abstract, and cubist-inspired compositions. Born in 1998, in Ghana, he developed an early passion for art as a means of self-expression, starting at the age of three. Though he paused his artistic journey at ten, he reignited his creative passion after moving to the UK at 17, using art as both an escape and a means of navigating his new environment. His work is characterized by vibrant geometric forms, intricate line works , and a fusion of materials, including carved MDF, acrylic, oil paint, and gloss finishes. Through fragmented yet expressive human figures, Amponsah explores themes of identity, culture, and human connection. His work invites viewers into a dynamic interplay of colours, form, and emotion pushing the boundaries of contemporary abstract art.
