Roslyn Ramsay

Roslyn Ramsay, explores water's energy and form and the mystery of those changing patterns, translucency and depth.
My watercolour and acrylic paintings originate from my northern Ontario experiences living on a lake and I often return for renewed focus.
I am inspired by the reflected trace elements and fragmented imagery in the changing forms that juxtapose surface wave patterns. I intuitively interpret water's energy and movement through brush and palette knife on canvas or wood panel.
I was a recipient of three Ontario Arts Council Exhibition Grants 1993 - 2012 to exhibit my work and received a Canada Scholar Awards in Science Engineering Technology. I am honoured to be in private and corporate collections such as:
