Born in 1992, Louny, Czech Republic.
After high school and acquiring an affection for visual arts, he traveled to New Zealand and Southeast Asia to make his first drawings and sketches.
His paintings are inspired by the European landscape and the people living in it; their implicit relationships and life stories create an atmospheric background to the artworks. The formal composition cannot deny an influence by the French avant-garde movement and Czech modern classics of the first half of the 20th century as well as local cubists and glassmakers.
Vanderlaun’s paintings, reliefs, and 3D works are sought out by domestic and worldwide collectors, especially from the Americas and central Europe. Besides pursuing an artistic career, he studied at the Department of History of Arts at Charles University in Prague.
