Agata Lis

I grew up in Przemyśl and later moved to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław (Sculpture and Painting) and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (Sculpture, Painting), Poland. I graduated in Painting with honors. I find inspirations in the people, nature, art & culture. Each piece I create tells an unique story. My painting is characterized by vibrant, uplifting colors. I celebrate the beauty found in the world around us.
Over the years, I have participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Belgium, England, Italy, Poland, and Spain. My works are in collections in Canada, England, Finland, France, Germany, Poland, Taiwan, and the United States of America.
I received a Creative Scholarship from the Mayor of Krakow and an Honorary Mention in the Franciszka Eibisch competition in Warsaw in 2007. In 2012 I received an Honorary Mention in the international Art Kudos International Competition 2012. In 2018, the Italian newspaper L'Osservatore Romano published a reproduction of my painting Praying for Peace in its article In pochi a lottare per la vita.
