Boruch Lev’s connection to art began in early childhood, where sculpting and imagination developed side by side. What started with plastilina jungles and animals evolved into figurative sculpture, exploring the human form, material expression, and a personal style that still reflects traces of Art Nouveau and contemporary conceptual art.
Working primarily in clay, Lev transforms ideas into visual objects, achieving depth through the engagement of both hand and mind. His practice treats material as a carrier of process, aiming to reveal an essential core through form, texture, and composition.
Born in Moscow, Russia, Lev emigrated to the United States in the 1990s and made Aliyah to Israel in 2022. He lives and works with his family in Kiryat Motzkin, where he maintains a studio practice and offers private instruction.
Lev has participated in regional and international exhibitions, including SOFA Chicago, The Other Art Fair by Saatchi Art, and the Beijing Art Biennale.
