Monica Musoni (b. 1972) is a visual artist whose work explores the boundaries of image-making through photography, video, and installation art. Since 2016, she has been dedicated to questioning the formal limits of the image, delving into themes of perception, time, and memory. Her practice has evolved to incorporate a tridimensional approach, blending media to create immersive experiences.
Monica studied analogue photography at A.R.C.O, Lisbon, and developed her craft through workshops and artistic residencies also in Brussels, Belgium. Alongside her photographic practice, she also directed her first documentary, expanding her exploration of visual storytelling.
In 2021, she opens her first atelier in partnership with the multidisciplinary artist Maria João Flôxo.
Currently, she lives and works between Lisbon (Portugal) and Brussels (Belgium).
Her work has been displayed in collective and alternative spaces in Lisbon, Brussels, and Manchester.
