Mahsa Shirazi is a British visual artist with Persian roots, known for her contemporary collage works that blend tradition, freedom, and innovation. Holding a BA in Graphic Design from the University of Art and Visual, she brings a deep understanding of form, color, and composition to every piece she creates. Working across acrylics, pastels, and collage, Mahsa explores the balance between the physical and the imagined. Her process is intuitive and ever-evolving — she refuses to be confined by a single technique or style. Sometimes she begins with sketches, transforming them into digital collages, and other times she creates her compositions entirely from scratch. Each work becomes a personal exploration of emotion, symbolism, and the mysterious beauty of the unknown. Her inspiration often comes from her surroundings and her travels. Deeply influenced by her Persian heritage and the timeless artistry of Persian and Japanese culture, Mahsa enjoys weaving ancient cultural elements into her contemporary work, inviting people to discover and reconnect with those roots through modern expression. Her portfolio showcases a wide range of styles, including abstract and mixed media, reflecting her belief that art is infinite and should never be limited by one form. She is currently developing a series inspired by The Persian Book of Kings, reinterpreting its female figures as symbols of strength, beauty, and resilience. Alongside this, Mahsa is also working on a new mixed-media collection inspired by fashion brands and magazines, soon to be added to her portfolio. Her work has also been featured in Vogue magazine, highlighting her distinctive fusion of culture, modernity, and expressive freedom. Mahsa’s art has been exhibited in solo and group shows across Tehran, Turkey, Georgia, London, and the UAE. To her, art mirrors nature — boundless, evolving, and free — a reflection of her own spirit and her belief that true creativity knows no limits.
