"I don't paint the landscape itself, I paint the feeling of being there."
Sometimes, a place stays with us long after we have left it. It might be the quiet of a mist-covered mountain, the reflection of light on water, or the feeling of standing still in the middle of nature. These are the moments I return to when I paint.
Working primarily in oils and acrylics, I build each painting slowly through layers of color, expressive brushwork, and textured surfaces. I allow marks to emerge, soften, and sometimes disappear, letting earlier layers show through as the painting evolves. Some passages are gestural and energetic; others are quiet and restrained. Through this process of adding, removing, and refining, the landscape gradually reveals itself. I don't always know exactly where a painting will lead, and I value that sense of discovery.
I want to create a space where you can pause, breathe, and reconnect with your own memories and emotions, a quiet reminder that sometimes, we find what we need when we simply allow ourselves to be still.
I have exhibited my work throughout the United States, including at Art Expo New York, The Other Art Fair, and numerous juried exhibitions and gallery shows. My paintings are held in private and ...
