Ilda Monteiro

Biography
I, Ilda Monteiro, am a Portuguese national. I was born and raised in a small village "Alhais" district of Viseu. I currently live in the city "Viseu".
The passion for drawing and art began early. I am a descendant of a family linked to various types of art including a family member who followed the course of painting.
In my works I portray the experiences and daily life of everything that surrounds me. Any gesture or movement serves as inspiration. As a rule, the public values ​​my work. In the criticism I have already been approached by the fact of having a multifaceted profile. While maintaining a style of its own, experientialism attracts me through new techniques and materials.
I participated in fifty individual exhibitions, thirty collective exhibitions, fifty-five in painting contests, contests and workshops.
I am represented in several public and private spaces in private collections. I was given the title of "artist" by the Serralves Museum.
I got invitations to exhibit in France, in the town of Chaise de Dieu, at the Arts Festival in Orsay, in Ciudad Rodrigo, Spain, Art Fair New York 2017, invitations that I declined for personal reasons.

From an academic point of view I hold a degree in Social Communication with some experience in the area and Master's degree in Communication and Marketing whose final thesis "Marketing in the art market and the artistic process of creation: a case study".

2008-Honorable Mention in RI14 Painting contest
Merit 2009-Honor of the Academy of Arts and Letters Paranuapuã and the Academy of Arts and Letters in recognition of Lusophone culture National
Merit-2009 Honor of the Maria da Fontinha Museum for services to national culture.
2011-Honorable Mention in the photo competition "The forest, a well preserve" Vila Nova de Paiva.
2012-Honorable Mention in the village Photo Marathon.
