This is the Roberta Cavallari Archive profile created in 2026, a new second profile on Saatchi Art dedicated to the artist’s archival works. For recent paintings and larger contemporary works, please visit my primary Saatchi Art profile, dedicated to current available works and ongoing artistic research.
Roberta Cavallari is a contemporary symbolic European artist with archival and research-based practice.
Born in Ferrara, Italy, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna and spent a research period in Berlin in the late 1990s, an experience that deeply influenced her visual imagination. Her practice encompasses painting, drawing, photography, video, and performance, developing a research focused on the relationship between space, perception, and memory.
Her works combine realistic elements and abstract forms, creating suspended and ambiguous environments shaped by post-industrial references, neo-metaphysical atmospheres, and reflections on the transformations of the contemporary landscape. She has exhibited in Italy and abroad, including participation in the 54th Venice Biennale, and has recently presented her work at Galleria Studio Cenacchi in Bologna.
