Cheree Kwon is a Toronto-based visual artist whose practice explores memory, emotion, and spatial experience. She completed her Master of Fine Arts in South Korea and has exhibited her work in numerous galleries locally and internationally.
Working primarily with acrylic and mixed media, she creates layered compositions that bring together organic and geometric forms, subtle textures, and structural elements. Her work draws from overlooked urban corners, overgrown parks, and ambiguous in between spaces that evoke familiarity and quiet longing. Through these environments, she revisits and reassembles personal and collective memories, allowing them to shift, overlap, and transform. Her work reflects an ongoing exploration of how distinct elements can coexist and support one another within a shared space.
