Glenn Kestell

Born 1989 in Portsmouth, Glenn Kestell is an emerging South Australian Artist, whose practice revolves around exploring a perceptive experience and questions regarding identity.
A recipient of the Pro Hart Scholarship, Kestell graduated from the Adelaide Central School of Art with a Bachelor of Visual Art in 2011. Shortly after was honoured to become a member of Central Studios, where he works among some of Adelaide’s most distinguished artists. Kestell then went on to complete his Masters in Visual Art at the University of South Australia.
In the short time since he graduated from Adelaide Central School of Art he has been involved in a variety of exhibitions and artistic pursuits, including In and Out (2013), his first solo exhibition at Urban Cow Gallery, and many group exhibitions, such as the Loreto Spring Art Exhibition (2012-13) and Carclew Portrait Exhibition (2012). A finalist in multiple prizes such as the Whyalla Art Prize, Lethbridge 10000 small scale Art Prize, RSASA Inaugural Portrait prize to name a few. Glenn’s further achievements in 2012 include the Judges’ Award of Excellence at the Royal South Australian Society of Arts and the St Peters’ College residency.
