Soon after I was born in Santa Ana, California in 1939 my family and over 12,000 other Japanese Americans were evacuated to relocation camps until WW 2 was over. When I was 10 years old I lived almost independently until I got married in 1971.
At age 14 my art teacher encouraged me to explore my artistic potential and teach my peers to become better artist. Since then I have continued to explore the unlimited potentual of drawing and painting as a means of creating and composing visual images that have an essential life energy we all possess.
I am grateful to be able to learn from the many past great master artists and witness what today's contemporary artist are creating every day.
