Antonio Nunziante

Biography

Antonio Nunziante was born in Naples in 1956, artistic prodigy who experimented with oil painting when he was just 8. After gaining his secondary school art diploma in Asti, he enrolled at the Fine Arts Academy, which he attended for two years. In 1975 he began his career as a professional painter. On returning to Turin he graduated course in restoration techniques in Florence, visits to Italian and European museums enriched his experience, bringing him into contact with masterpieces of distinguished painters like Rembrant e Vermeer.
Originally his painting is characterized by figurative moments expressed with still life, landscapes, female nude and other more surreal approaches inspired by the fantasy worlds of Boris and the visions of Dali'.
In some works the romantic and metaphysical component is extremely strong, fascinated by the artistic theories of Bocklin and De Chirico, who remained a constant reference throughout his career.
In 1983 he had the chance to make himself known in America, exhibiting at the Artexpos in Los Angeles and New York. He attended the atelier of Riccardo Tommasi Ferroni and in 1985 exhibits in Spello with Pietro Annigoni.
