Brian Shaw

Brian Shaw is a Utah resident who enjoys the vast variety of scenic material the west provides. He is the son of Utah artist Doyle Shaw, and was trained as a classical artist before falling into photography. He finds solace in nature, and a spiritual connection to his subject matter, and often finds animals posing or behaving in relation to his deep feelings for aesthetic beauty in nature. Brian prefers to capture subjects within context of their natural surroundings as a complete composition with excellent technical qualities of color, feeling, emotion, intimacy, and balance. I do not follow the trends in todays art, but only how the subject evokes higher vibrational feelings in others, and maintain a trueness to the time and place, without a fabrication that was never there. I feature color compositions and abstract organics that can be useful as decorative or interior design to match a certain room or wall. Even as a young boy, my mind had a seriousness about intrinsic beauty in nature, and its importance of preservation. Please enjoy.
