The difficulty of communication between people, between cultures, and between various aspects of the selfis a theme that runs through much of my work. Visionary and outsider artists who paint as if their efforts could externalize some communication issue, often spiritual at its core, inspire me.Influenced by Chicago Imagists--where I used to live. Neo Rauch is one of my current favorites. Also like many individual, eclectic artists: Neo Rauch, Magritte, Henri Rousseau.
