Cristina Silvestri

Cristina Silvestri b. 1984 is an interdisciplinary artist based in Chicago. Cristina is first generation American and spent much of her life in Italy where her family still lives. In 2006 Cristina moved to Florence, Italy to pursue art and be closer to family. She returned to Chicago in 2008 and has continued her art practice. Although she is primarily a painter, she is interested in creating dimension and pushing the borders and frames of painting.

She has exhibited work in group shows at the Evanston Art Center as well as the Chicago Cultural Center. She is currently showing work at Circa Modern in Chicago.
