Danilo Mancic

Contemporary visual artist, designer and decorator.

He is best known to the general public in Serbia for his artistic nomadism and playing with different artistic styles as well as design works created in relation to artistic research from fine art to applied art (design) with the aim of problematizing and pointing out the absence of strict boundaries between them in contemporary artistic expression. These works are characterized by an interest in postmodernist ornamentalism and a mixture of historical styles taken from modern art. Various conflicting stylistic codes from the history of contemporary art allow mutual transformations. It is actually about artistic creativity that erases the boundaries and differences between high and popular art, between fine art and folk art.

I graduated from the School of Art and Design.
I have been actively painting and designing for more than two decades. In that period I changed several painting styles and poetics. I also created some new unique and authentic painting styles such as: Ethno Pop Cubism, Ethno Sensualism, Ethno Pop Surrealism, Decubomania, which are patented in the Intellectual Property Office. My artworks have been published in numerous magazines, newspapers and museum catalogues.
