Denis Woodcraft

I was Born in Bedfordshire and have been painting all my life, but only in the last year as a full time artist.It has taken a long time for me to get to this point. Marriage,wonderful children, divorce,personal crises and tragic family events. All of these experiences play their part in the imagery of my paintings. My core passion has always been art and the very personal responses I have to all of the events that impact upon my emotions I am now embracing the whole intense, theraputic experience. I work with Acrylics on canvas and would put my style within the realms of Surrealism. My work is very personal and comes from my emotional responses to what I have experienced and to what I feel.My inspirations are the real, strange and often painful truths of life.
